ABOUT RURU NOVA

Curiosity into capability.

Practical learning at the meeting point of people, ideas and technology.

THE NAME

A little wisdom. Something new.

Ruru is Aotearoa’s native owl. For us, it represents wisdom and careful observation. Nova means “new” and brings to mind a new star — a simple way to think about fresh ideas and new knowledge.

That’s the spirit of our workshops: build on what you know, try something new, and take useful ideas back to your classroom.

Giving back to the ruru. We’re committing 2% of RuruNova’s profits to ruru conservation.
